HAPPY NEW YEAR READERS

I have to confess I don't hang on until 12th night to take down the Christmas dec's – I have usually had enough and they're down on New Year's Day !  So I'm sitting writing now with a tidy house once more and can't believe it's only a week since Christmas.

It's now time to look forward and I am certainly excited about the New Year!

My last year, whilst it was at times a whirlwind of public appearances, demonstrations at BBC Good food shows, after dinner speaking and glitz – in the background I was also spending time getting things just right.

So often I am asked about a book and I decided very early on I wanted my book to be more than just baking. I have spent the whole of 2015 writing my recipes – embracing each season's offerings. I now am the proud owner of around 320 tried and tested culinary delights covering the whole spectrum. I will continue writing because I enjoy it so why stop at 320 ?

I have been so lucky also to have forged some amazing relationships with hard working people. These include, first and foremost my agent and friend Geraldine Woods who advises, facilitates and signposts me all the way. I have met interesting people at organisations such as Love Food Hate Waste, Calderdale Museums and look forward to working too with Fred Olsen Cruises – this is to mention just a few !

Really exciting too have been my recent London meetings with TV Production companies.  These people are responsible for our biggest food programmes so this would be the icing on an amazing cake !!

Just writing these things down has made me realise how lucky I am and what a huge catalyst for change winning the Bake Off was.

2016 – bring it on !!!
